Like many people on this forum, I have been dreaming of owning a Porsche for many years. A few months ago, I was fortunate enough to find a 2018 base Boxster with a manual transmission and only 1500 miles. The first 500 miles were extremely difficult but I was able to keep it under 4000 RPMs to follow the break-in procedure. At 2001 miles, I was on a straight stretch of interstate and was able to hit 7000 on the tach. It hit 73° F yesterday in Kansas City and hopefully we will have better convertible weather going forward!! Land vehicle Vehicle Car Convertible Sports car
Also, the picture is in front of our World War I Memorial near downtown KC.

There's a point at 7,000 RPM... where everything fades. The machine becomes weightless. Just disappears. And all that's left is a body moving through space and time. 7,000 RPM. That's where you meet it. You feel it coming. It creeps up on you, close in your ear. Asks you a question. The only question that matters. Who are you? - Carroll Shelby, intro to Ford v Ferrari

Nice car.

Why after passing 7000, do I often fall to pull the PDK paddle before bouncing off the rev limiter? Must be getting old ?
