Congratulations......let us know your driving impressions and if you have driven a non-T 718 what the differences are. Do the added features make it worth the extra cost? I say that because I still question the overall merit of the 911 T.

Congrats, was hoping I might have been the first!

First OPC I enquired at had an early April build which meant I should have had the car by now. I got a better deal at a different OPC, but with a month later delivery. They then messed up the order (long story) which meant delivery has been delayed another month. Late June, early July delivery for me now.

I don’t understand why Porsche hasn’t made the 718T available in the US.
If we trust autoblog.com it is a matter of time: "When they come to market in the United States in early 2020, still for the 2020 model year, the 718 Cayman T will cost $66,400, and the 718 Boxster T $68,500."

Cheers for the warm welcome guy’s.

I got quite lucky with the car, I had decided that the Cayman T was for me and headed to Porsche for a “chat”.... they didn’t have a Cayman T there so I took a test drive in a base in Miami blue with MT. I loved it. So as the discussion progressed I was sold and presented them with my spec list, they had no allocation for the Cayman T and I was optimistically looking at Nov 19 (at best). However when looking at the spec list they had a model ordered for the showroom that matched exactly my spec but with the addition of a few items! This car was due in a few weeks, so deposit down, they discounted the items over and above my spec, had an offer of -£1500 if an order was placed on Boxster and Cayman’s that month, suffice to say I collected a few weeks later.

The car is as follows:
Cayman T
Guards Red
Cayman T interior package (red)
Sports seats plus (2 way)
Manual gearbox (this is a shortened shifter, similar to the 911T)
LED headlights
Tinted tail lights
Heated gt multifunction steering wheel
Heated seats
Isofix child seat points
PCM reinstated

Cayman T standard items:
Porsche Torque Vectoring
Sports Chrono
Active engine mounts
Shortened shifter
Sports PASM -20mm
20” Carrera S wheels in grey
Grey accents - mirrors, door graphics and rear model designation
Fabric door pulls (red)

All in all for me this had all of the sports items I wanted and a few choice options at a good price, plus a little exclusivity.

Can anyone confirm if the manual gear ratios are shorter on the T or are the same as the other models?

I know it has the short shifter but I have also seen it suggested that the ratios are shorter too (although this could just be poor journalism). Gut feel says it is unlikely but would be good to know either way.

Gear ratios are exactly the same as the other trims. Manual and PDK.

Nice, where in the UK are you as we have a meet-up on 22nd June somewhere in the northants Milton Keynes area
I would love to meet up and I am in the midlands so not too far...... but we are expecting our second child (I do have another car too) around the same time as the meet and I may be pushing my luck leaving the wife to come to the meet on the week we are expecting! Let me know of any in the future though and I would love to join in.
