[NJ-718Guy]

Hello all! I am a new member from NJ. Was planning to order a 911 Carrera but am now thinking about a Cayman S. I am on the fence about a couple of build options and wanted to gather some feedback from member who have their cars, and others who are also ordering or considering a purchase of a 718.

1. Thoughts on Porsche Torque Vectoring with Mechanical Locking Differential? I am not feeling the need for PTV but am wondering if the LSD will make a difference? I know it comes standard on the GTS and was thinking a fully optioned Cayman S would benefit from the LSD. I don't plan to track the car but will be doing some spirited driving on the street.

2. Navigation? I hate to order a $90k car and not have Navigation. I will order Apple Car Play but wonder if NAV is worth it? Also, I seem to recall that NAV with Porsche Connect adds something to the tech with Sport Chrono?

I'm in the process of ordering a Cayman. Yes to PTV. And love to use Waze. So am hoping Apple car play and Waze will be enough.

If you want the LSD then you have to have the PTV. I don't think it is essential for street driving as traction is already very good but test drive one without and see what you think.
