With everything glorious I've heard about the Z4M, the 718 is arguably the only new car on the market that could compare.
I assume you're selling the Z4M? Oughta bring a good-sized set of pennies these days ...
Congrats! Now, the wait ... what's your spec/build?
Thank you! I'm going to list the Z4M over at ZPOST when I get a little closer to delivery. I hope you are correct, although I think I am probably a little ahead of the curve on these things starting to really climb in value.
I opted for the base 718 over the "S", my reasoning was a combination of price versus performance increase for the additional funds, as well as being able to use more of the base power in real world driving conditions. I don't track or autocross anymore, and felt the additional ponies were overkill for me personally. Now if I was still 30 years old >

........ would most likely be a different story

I also opted for more of a pure driving car, leaving off a lot of the bells and whistles.

The one concern I have involves the "Black/Bordeaux Red with Leather Package" interior. I've seen pictures of this combination with the instrument cluster cover done in Bordeaux Red, but the configurator pictures show the cover in black. I know Porsche had a lawsuit involving reflections on the windshield, hence the warning now on light colored dashes. I'm assuming that maybe Porsche "dropped" the red instrument cluster cover in favor of keeping the entire dash black in this color combination. I hope that is the case, I'd prefer it be black.
I consider myself an audiophile also, Viffermike, and enjoy your posts concerning all things audio. I would have liked the Burmester sound system, but that was another "price versus quality diminishing returns" issue for me. I thought about just getting the standard system for easier modding, but decided on the Bose. Hopefully one day we'll get interface options that work with the MOST 150, I assume those options are still limited in scope. It will be interesting to compare the Bose system in the Boxster to the Carver/Top Hi Fi system I have in the Z4M.
Thanks again for the welcome guys. I look forward to being a part of the 718 family 0
