Hi.
I’ve been reading the forum since I got my cayman 2017 in the spring.
Thought it was time to become a legitimate forums member. I’m loving the car and no tickets yet. Probably because I didnt drive it much.
I like to do as much maintenance and work on my cars as possible. I bought a 914 in college but stored it away in 1991 and pulled it out a few weeks ago.
I’m doing my first oil change on the 718 next weekend. Any tips welcomed.

Welcome fellow Marland'r. Like you, I enjoy doing maintenance when I can.

I changed the oil in my CS two weeks ago. Once you remove the pan below the engine, the oil change is straight forward task. Tips: pay close attention to how the pan below the engine attaches to the forward pan it joins to, and remember the oil filler is on the left side. :D

Here's a link to the oil change thread: http://www.718forum.com/forum/oils-fluids-fuel-additives-lubrications/5650-diy-oil-change.html
