Hey all - I'm picking up my new Cayman GTS on Tuesday 7/10 in Atlanta, then taking a road trip with my gf back to NYC. Current plan is to hit the Tail of the Dragon, through the Blue Ridge Parkway, then Skyline Drive. Any tips or must-do items along that path?

Not sure what's normally put into these intros... first Porsche, just turned in my M4 (which I loved), but now ready for my GTS. I track my cars, so can't wait for the break-in period to be over. (I read that the period is 2,000 miles, but there are plenty of dissenting opinions. Would love to hear your thoughts...)

I did a similar trip from Atlanta PEC back to NJ last Fall. But I skipped the inland route and went along the coast.

Thanks! I don't drive it in NYC, I only drive it to get out of NYC to see family or go to a track day. I have a garage parking spot under my building and they take pretty good care of me... but point taken.

Your road trip home sounds like fun. Looking forward to the photos. I am planning my road trip home from PA to Miami this September and I want to drive the same roads as you, but in the opposite direction.
