Definitely new pictures on the Porsche Configuator, and it looks like new prices. The pictures are the car in an outside scene and they look pretty nice that way.

I think this change was made as the 3D view no longer works.

3D will (for me at least) only work in Microsoft Internet Explorer and with the Unity Web Player plugin.
I think the problem is caused by Unity Web Player being a NPAPI (Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface) plugin which is generally no longer a supported plugin type.

Unity Web Player is also a discontinued and unsupported plugin by the developer Unity, which only makes me wonder why Porsche keeps using it, the 992 also has 3D view using this plugin.

I can confirm that prices increased. I had looked over my build on the configuator in late December and again in early January. There was about a $400 increase on or about January 1 for the same build. I didn't bother to check which option increased or whether it was a base price increase. I also noticed that the 0-60 time had been revised to 5.1 sec. for the base which I thought was unusual. It has since changed back to 4.9 sec. I think some things get jumbled in translation and/or due to different metrics of measurement. Never can tell what you are going to see on that tool at any given time.

That might explain it then. I only use Chrome and Safari and noticed some time ago that the 3D viewer no longer worked due to the lack of support from the Unity Web Player. Then last week I noticed that the 3D button had been replaced by the background image button (at least in Chrome and Safari) but yes, have just checked in IE and can see that it is still visible.
