Hi Everyone,
Thank you for allowing me to join the 718 forum

Couple of questions I need answering:

I have a Boxster GTS and would like to know if there is anything I can do to make the exhaust note louder? I have seen a few "remove a fuse"? post
Also I want to add some mess behind the side vents, is this something that's on the market?
Are the vents easy to remove?

What year is your car from and do you have the PSE?
If you have PSE one could see so the valve is always open, but it will destroy the valve over time.
And that means that the whole right muffler needs to be changed.

Welcome. May be worth joining Boxa.net as a few people have meshed the 981 side vents. I'm currently awaiting snips to try doing it myself.
Of course, if you just want to add some mess behind them, just push in some leaves and crap. 😀

Welcome to the forum! Bolt-in X-pipe with tips would make an ever so slight difference in sound. You could also replace your OEM air filter with a higher flowing unit like BMC to get slightly more intake / turbo noise.

BMC air filter will definitely give you more turbo noise, worthy upgrade for sure. X-pipes make an almost imperceptible difference. Biggest improvement will come from a new exhaust, especially if you replace the cat with a sport cat or a delete. I ultimately wound up with the SOUL valved exhaust with a sport cat and I love it! I get compliments all the time on the sound of the car.

No is that a UK recall?

Yes UK recall too, had mine replaced last year.

The 'screens' from Porsche aren't mesh but more a plastic grill.
There are a variety of options for real mesh on the side intakes, both commercial and home-made. A look around the forum will provide lots of information.

It is a recall in the US as well. I think that they are satisfactory. For the front corner radiators I used Zunsport and I am happy with them. Tastes differ, so YMMV

Yes UK recall too, had mine replaced last year.

Just checked with our local Porsche centre and mine has been done....

Tips or get a new exhaust. A lot of different opinions with the exhausts on here. Find one you like and just go for it. 👊
