You need to head over to the Engine and Technical Discussion subforum here. There are several threads that discuss the efficiency and operation of the turbos in 718s there; they'll likely answer a lot of the questions you have.
There is no faq/wiki here. The 718 simply hasn't been around long enough, and it's not a high-production car. (Granted, your old Viper wasn't high production, either, but from what I understand it had (and has) a rabid following, particularly among deep-level gearheads. There are a few of those here, but not all that many.)
