I’ve intentionally left the Frunk and Trunk opened, locked car and no alarm noise to warn me...I’m under the impression that thee should be some chirping or warning that these are not locked. Any ideas as to why?

Thank you for the reply...as a matter of fact I don’t get a chirp “ever” when lock or unlock...that’s part of my confusion. the dealer said it’s some feature of a German build blah blah blah...totally confused me..

EuroKip...here’s another one...car is locked. i have Entry&Drive but keys are nowhere near car. When I pull the driver handle...the window goes down slightly...when I pull the passenger handle...window does nothing, Which I would think that is the right way. I wouldn’t want my driver window to slide down at all if I’m nowhere near the car.

Yes, that is the correct response from the car—no noise means not locked. The doors are locked however and lock-up will complete when the boot or froot (😁) is closed.

I use this when I want to access the boot and then leave the car locked. So—unlatch the boot, get out, lock the doors, get what I want from the boot, close the boot and the car is fully locked. Or, when I want to put shopping in the boot and then continue to another store I unlock the boot, immediately lock the doors, put the stuff in the boot, close the boot and car is now fully locked, continue shopping.

In case anyone is interested...finally got everything resolved at the Dealership on my 2017 Cayman S. My issue was no chirp when locking, driver window would slightly lower even when car was locked and keys were nowhere near the car, central locking button wasn’t unlocking passenger door and light on button was not on.
solution: my dealer talked to Porsche Technician in Germany and they changed the micro ship sensor and locking assembly ( which apparently is a miniature computer) and everything works perfectly. All systems corrected and two chirps when locking.
