I’ve intentionally left the Frunk and Trunk opened, locked car and no alarm noise to warn me...I’m under the impression that thee should be some chirping or warning that these are not locked. Any ideas as to why?
Yes, that is the correct response from the car—no noise means not locked. The doors are locked however and lock-up will complete when the boot or froot (😁) is closed.
I use this when I want to access the boot and then leave the car locked. So—unlatch the boot, get out, lock the doors, get what I want from the boot, close the boot and the car is fully locked. Or, when I want to put shopping in the boot and then continue to another store I unlock the boot, immediately lock the doors, put the stuff in the boot, close the boot and car is now fully locked, continue shopping.
