The Öhlins Road & Track suspension gives our customers the ability to track their cars without losing comfort when commuting to work. The unique Dual Flow Valve (DFV) technology allows you to quickly change the stiffness of the shock absorber. When arriving to the racetrack or favorite twisty road, just turn the golden knob clockwise on the damper to set it in race mode. This adjustment changes all four areas in the damper; low and high speed compression and rebound damping.

We offer a few versions depending on your needs.

OTS is exactly what it sounds like; straight from Öhlins with their valving and spring rates. Standard spring rates are 400/458lb and these work really well for a mostly street application.

Track Packages consist of our proprietary custom valving and dyno'd shocks. For certain applications we change to Eibach ERS springs with higher rates along with internal modifications in order to optimize the setup for the track. These are still streetable but biased to get the most out of a track environment. Due to the single adjuster on R/T shocks you end up adjusting both compression and rebound at the same time, which keeps things simple and user friendly. However, this is where our custom valving really shines, we are able to tailor the base compression and rebound curves to get them into the desired range, which gives you great compliance on rough surfaces and surprisingly good ride quality for a performance suspension package. The adjuster knob still works like before; clockwise for the track and counter-clockwise for the street or rough surface tracks. Shoot me a message to determine what springs rates makes sense for your application.

GT3 LCAs and Tarret Cup Series LCAs will get you the precision control and alignment ability you need for a dual purpose Cayman >:D.

Hello Joshua:
Hope you can answer a couple questions:

How is the NBR with the control arms kit?, is it too bad that you can't listen to music at 100MPH

Can the height be increased above recommended settings on the Ohlins R&T in order to get more ground clearance and a more forgiving ride for a city full with potholes and speed bumps?

Do you need a car lift or use a jack in order to adjust the DFVs, for instance after a trackday session before riding your way home?

I've never tried listening to music at 100mph, none of my race cars have radios.. :)

The Tarett Street Cups use an OEM style inner bushing and TAB and the out while not OE design has the basic noise transfer characteristics.

If you have really bad roads I'd suggest our Touring package. We run lighter springs than the off the shelf R&T kit with more of a focus on ride quality than all out track performance. Ride height adjustment is 0-25mm lower than standard suspension. You might be able to go slightly higher, we've never tried.

The adjusters are at the base of the strut housing. You can just reach around the tire to make changes without jacking the car up. Truth be told between the DFV and our base valving I rarely make adjustments to R&Ts. This includes are race cars running on every West Coast track in the wet or dry... :)

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Joshua

Typically with the 718 you can get -0.8 to -1.5 stock. The coilovers themselves don't add any camber unless you opt for the Tarett top hats:

With these you'll be in the -1.5 to -2.2 range. The 718 chassis varies quite a bit more than other Caymans for some reason.

LMK if you have any other questions.

Haha cool. How much camber do these add over the stock suspension (0mm) if I were to go to the -20mm route?

That is a common belief. However, with McPherson struts the exact opposite is true. With bump you lose negative camber. That's one of the reasons strut cars have to run a lot more static camber compared to wishbone setups.

I thought the act of lowering a vehicle inherently adds negative camber? The range of adjustment would be the same without the top hats like you mentioned.
