I've done some research on various forums and I've decided to switch out the oil for the winter storage. My mileage only justifies an annual oil and filter change. So I'm going to only drain & fill the oil and have the shop do the change at 1 year. So I'll have fresh oil 2x per year and a fresh filter 1x per year.
It's easy enough to drain & fill in my garage vs. changing the filter, which I'll leave to the shop.
Just thought I would share if anyone is in a similar situation.
