Anyone else hate the pouch that comes with the painted key option? I love the painted key as it’s something you handle all the time and feels a bit more special. But the pouch that comes with it is hopeless. Every time you use the key you have to undo the presstud tab, push the fob out by inserting your finger in the gap and reverse the process when you’ve finished. Obviously the first time I drop the fob without the pouch and chip the paint, I’ll regret not using it, but it just seems badly designed. First world problems eh?

I ordered two through Amazon for $10 US each. Probably knockoffs, but they look great, work fine, and the Blue was effectively a perfect match for our car's Sapphire Blue Metallic paint. So close, I can't tell the difference.

Other than OEM, I have not found a Miami Blue key.
PM me your address and I'll mail you a couple pieces of Miami Blue vinyl wrap. It's a PITA but after a few tries you'll get it.... Tip: hair drier helps with some of the curves.

Get it laid out on the surface, heat the edges and rolled over the back. Now let it sit for a few minutes and with a good razor you should be able to lay it flat across the back side of the key and cut the excess away as a whole.

I see several products listed on Amazon. Has anyone ordered one that is a good match for guards red?
Can anyone please share a link to a product you’ve been happy with? Thanks

+1 for the ebay/Amazon covers.
The colours may not be 100% match but VERY close
fitment is perfect

I bought a Guard's red from Amazon several years ago that is perfect. Unfortunately I cannot find my order docs to determine which one it is. It is three pieces (I am only using the side pieces) and came in a metal and glass box. Maybe you can read Mandarin?

Huh thanks for this - I’m also getting entry and drive and never thought of that. Thanks!

I've got Entry & Drive, so the key never leaves my pocket. In that case I can't imagine why I'd spend any time, effort or money on a painted key.

Then again, for $10 why not.

I have one in blue and am very satisfied with its fit and finish (not affiliated in any way with the seller, manufacturer, marketer, or ebay...or anyone else associated with this product).

Interesting. No silvers or grays, which are some of the most common Porsche colors.

Search around on eBay, as some other vendors may have silver and/or grey at a similar price point.
