[718S]

Working hard to get my break in done on my new 2019 718S... but the key fob has me a bit puzzled. Sometimes when I hit the unlock button it does nothing (no LED flickering). Sometimes it unlocks on first press (with LEDs). It will always unlock on the 2nd click but it's got me puzzled honestly. It doesn't seem related to my duration of effort of click either. Back up key seems to do the same thing. Am I missing something?

Owner Manual doesn't explain this issue.

On the other hand the key fob certainly retains all the seat, side mirror, etc memories so it seems to be functioning well in that regard.

I have experienced something similar just once or twice in my 3 months of ownership, but rightly or wrongly i put it down to perhaps not being close enough to the car
or not pointing the key fob in the right direction. ( not sure if it needs to be pointed at the car ? )
