I was taking a look at a youtube review for the 718 CGTS and was surprised to see "Performance" display in the MFD
My early CGTS build 1/2018 does not have this option, am I missing something? If there is a menu for the Performance display, what values can be displayed?
In the attached captured image looks like a "Torque" chart

Here's the link to the video, @ 16:40

My April built GTS has all of those screens. I can enable / disable each of them in the display settings (forward press of the multi-function stalk on the wheel).

Personally, I think they're a gimmick, so I disabled all but three screens, temps, TPMS, and trip calculator for drive time and distance.

I'll hopefully get an answer next week when my car goes in for the side vent grill recall at my local dealership.
I just wonder if the "later" built cas have the Performance display and the older ones don't.
My car is a GTS, with PDK, Nav, Connect+, standard Sports Chrono so I don't believe I'm missing any of the necessary options.

It's there as a standard on the GTS. You just need to add it to your menu. It might be unticked in the menu settings....

That's the issue - not available in the menu for my car...

My guess would be that you need a software update. I bet early 2018 GTS's just used the same software as 2017 S cars, since it's assumed these days that software doesn't have to follow the same product lifecycle as the hardware it resides on. Let us know what your dealer says when you take it in.

This could be the case. But the more likely case, based on feedback in this thread, is that it's part of Navigation -- not Connect Plus, but Navigation within Connect Plus. Two reasons for this:

- The data likely requires an 'always-on' GPS function, and
- The Navigation window that appears in the MFD, which is NOT retrofittable if Navigation is added after factory installation. To me, that's evidence of a data feed from the Navigation module through the MOST system to the MFD that is not end-user configurable -- hence the lack of the MFD Navigation display if the module is fitted by a dealer.

It's this kind of hidden-benefit stuff that I wish Porsche (and other companies) would be more up front about within the options lists. Had I known this was part of Connect Plus when I ordered my car (May 2017 for a first-run 2018 model), I may have been more apt to check the Connect Plus box. Same applies for the third radiator when ordered with the GT aero package ... sigh.

It could be tied to Nav, but it sure doesn't make sense. Could the g force and torque meters somehow be tied to the GPS sensors?
My car is pretty much loaded - with Navigation, ConnectPlus - so I think it may be related to an older version of Software
My car has: MHI2_US_POG11_P4173 1120
Whereas a GTS on my local dealer lot - which has the Performance Display has: MHI2_US_POG11_P4255 1347

I have a service visit scheduled for October 20th to have the Side Vent recall completed, as well as a Track Inspection (for upcoming HPDE events) and the service dept. will be taking a look then to see if it is an internal software setting that can be adjusted.

Follow-up - I had my car in for the side vent recall, the service department - performed the "auto coding" with the Porsche computer/programming system (not sure exactly the name) - they identified the model and specs and after 15 minutes the Performance display is now visible in the MFD - I know it's just a novelty - but its now working, without the need to upload a new version of software.
Will be interesting if the Torque details show up in the Porsche TrackPrecision app next

Good to hear you got this sorted.

I notice you have his and her Cayman's, that must be a bit rare but a lot of fun! Would be great to see a photo of your garage.:)

Also interesting to see you've come from a 991.2 C2S to the Cayman whereas your wife has had the Cayman since 2012. Curious to hear about your impressions on the cars and the thought process for the change. Although a lot of people would rate the 991.2 C2S it seems your wife has always been on the right track with her selection. ;)
