Earlier today I parked my racing yellow 718C GTS on the street in Interlaken, CH. No sooner was I walking away when 3 guys were taking photos of themselves next to the car. I thought it was a bit humorous and continued along my way. On my way back, about an hour later, there was a women next to the car and she took 3 or 4 selfies.

I guess I never realized how much “action” my car gets when I am not around. In fact, I don’t even have a picture of myself with the car. I don’t know if it is the color or the model but people seem to get a kick out of it. I’m thinking at some point I should clandestinely watch what goes on around the car and take some photos of people taking photos.

When I ordered my Miami Blue 718, my SA told me that every time I get out to pump gas, I will get compliments on the color choice AND the car. Racing Yellow was my second choice -- since I was a kid, I always dreamed of owning a yellow Porsche. Even now, if I saw a yellow GTS, I'd probably stop and take pics too haha.

Photogenic 718CS

I have owned my Lava Orange 718 for 12 months. I have been constantly congratulated on my car. The other day I was parked next to an insurance broker's office. I walked up to my car and a woman before getting into her M2, told me that my car was incredible.
It seems to me that the only group that doens't like my car are some PCA members that hate the 718. If it weren't for the dealer maintenance discounts, I probably wouldn't be a PCA member.
But, anyway, many feel that the 718 is one of the best and most photographic of cars.

Racing Yellow Boxster here. Compliments--yes, photos--by passengers, yes; others, never noticed, although I did find it on the local "exotic cars spotted" website.

BUT--you have to "at some point I should clandestinely watch what goes on around the car and take some photos of people taking photos." and post them here!

...congrats on your car AND particularly your color choice! I KNOW it looks stunning! Gotta love Lava Orange! My one and only color choice for my anticipated 2019 GT4, so much so that I'll pay the special order premium if discontinued at the time of spec...??
