Hi everyone, picked up a brand new 2018 Cayman S a couple of days ago. This is my first Porsche after many BMW M cars. Took quite a while to find the spec I wanted, at the right price. It has most of what I wanted: silver, PDK, 20" wheels, Sport Chrono, Bose, PASM, etc...

Still learning the car, but wow I am thoroughly impressed. I don't have much experience driving Porsche's, but I think I am beginning to understand what it means like to be "one with the car". It is truly an incredible feeling, and I cannot wait to get out of the break in period. It is my daily driver so I will be there in no time.

Thanks to the members for creating and supporting a great forum, has been great learning from all of you.

Will post my impressions (and more pics) after some quality seat time.

Thanks! Yup I’ve learned that lesson the hard way. Better to post one bad pic vs none. Have gone out to my garage at least a few times to look at the car ?

Nice / Nice - !! Gotta play around with Launch Control (Since you have the PDK/Sport Chrono) in an empty lot - it is so much fun and take a passenger to give them a little thrill.

Great Color - easy to clean - always looks clean. You should be very happy.
I have had Qty. 2 - 718 models now: 2018 Cayman S and 2017 Boxster - been great cars!!

I also suggest joining PCA if not to see all the events and fun - but to also get the magazine.

Thanks for your note! Yes, definitely will use launch control soon...I am being conservative and following the 2k mile break in first . And yes, one of the first things I did was join PCA to make it official.
Looks like you are in the Austin area...I actually bought from Porsche of Austin (great experience) and got to visit my son who goes to UT.
