Picked up our Sapphire GTS at PEC

We picked our Sapphire Blue Cayman GTS at Atlanta PEC a couple of weeks ago. We drove her home to South Florida in about 10 hours and got over 31 MPG. She currently has about 925 miles on her. She just wants to get up and run. I just love the Alcantara seats and interior. In addition to the GTS standard options we also optioned LED PDLS+, Graphite Wheels, White Gauges and Chrono, 18 way seats, LCA, Bose and several others. The car has had the windows tinted with SunTec Carbon and PPF covering the entire front end and rocker panels. We are looking forward to taking her across the state for a PCA weekend in Sanibel Island in two weeks.

Just out of curiosity, for the drive home how did you handle paint protection?

It was really clean when PEC delivered it to us. So I waxed it really well across the street at the hotel where we are staying. I brought a few rolls of blue painters tape to put over the wax. I decided at the last minute not to use the tape. We left early in the morning and tried to stay away from behind trucks of all sizes. Thankfully it rained a lot on the way back which kept down the amount of debris kicked up. I was lucky and came through unscathed. I had it PPF covered the next day.

Love the color - I have the same! In the right evening/nighttime light there is a hint of purple in there as well.

Thanks everyone, I feel very fortunate to have gotten one of the last Sapphire Blue CGTS before they stopped painting the color on Cayman and Boxsters. I love learning more about the car each time I drive her. Whenever I don’t drive her for a few days, I find that I really miss the drive.
