Hey everyone,

I'm working with Porsche Plano to purchase one of their CPO Caymans. So far they've been good to work with, but I'm still a little leery about buying a car sight unseen (I live in Reno). Would any of you Dallas-area folks be willing to take a gander at the car I'm looking at and let me know what you think of it? TIA!

I live in downtown Dallas; I can meander up there on Saturday to take a look (will probably be in the area that morning anyway). Send me a 'Conversation' with deets if you need it!

This may give you little comfort but I bought my CPO Cayman sight-unseen from a dealership over 2000 miles away. They were incredible to work with and when the car arrived, it exceeded my expectations. Good luck!

Thanks, @LongRanger! Yes, typically things go well, and I'm glad you experienced that. However, @Viffermike has generously offered to help me do a little more "due diligence," for which I'm very grateful. The dealership has sent me lots of pictures and have been very responsive by both email and text, but still it's quite valuable to have an independent third party provide their thoughts, too.

With any luck I'll be able to post new (to me) car pics soon!

We had great experiences purchasing our CPO '17 BS & '17 CPO SL450 from afar (separate deals 6 months apart), but realize some scenarios fall short of expectations. Did numerous hours of social media research on several prospective dealers in narrowing down our options before pulling the trigger.

Would’ve been awesome to have had an angel like @Viffermike to put us more at ease.

We'll see how 'angelic' my assessment ends up being ... but preliminary thoughts are quite good for @sobiloff . :D

Got a couple of questions for you, @sobiloff; I'll PM you.

I'm in Charlotte and bought mine from porsche Houston with 150 miles on it so I was nervous...150 miles is a lot of in and out and who knows. Did a few video walk around, etc. If my rep had any problem doing that then I would have walked but he was more than accomodating...nothing to hide.
