Hi, just stumbled across this forum and wondered if anyone else is experiencing’dust’ on the inside of the lens of their headlights. It seems that this fault is not covered by my extended Porsche warranty, and the units are sealed.

It may be that because the vehicle is over three years old Porsche are not prepared to replace them. I doubt that there is a possible fix for this?

Keep an eye on Headlights on your 718

Hey all - bought a Certified 718 Boxster that still had a little factory warranty left. Noticed what looked like shattering on the inside of the headlight on the lens.(only seen at night with headlight on) Looked like someone took sandpaper to the inside of the lens on both of my headlights...

That’s really strange, because I have exactly the same thing on at least one of the headlights. There’s a small square of the lens worn away, which I didn’t really relate to the dust problem.

I had one of mine replaced under warranty, but only because you could see the "crazing" lines - see below. They would not replace the other headlight that has the same amount of marks on it, but no crazing lines.
