Porsche has released an album featuring 85 images of their new 718 Cayman and Boxster GTS, giving us a better view from every angle.
Setting it apart from the regular S models the GTS variants features a set of 20-inch Carrera S wheels, Sport Design front apron, black rear apron, GTS badges, and the iconic GTS black tinted headlights and taillights. Of course the changes are more than skin deep.
According to
CarScoops, Porsche has taken the turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four engine and updated its intake duct while optimizing the turbocharger with a larger compressor and variable turbine geometry. In the GTS models, that engine can now deliver 1.3 bars of boost pressure instead of the standard 1.1 bar.
Performance has been boosted to 361hp and 309lb-ft of torque, though those looking for a bit more torque can opt for the PDK dual-clutch transmission instead of the standard six-speed manual gearbox for a 317lb-ft output. Those who go for the PDK transmission could sprint from 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds or 4.6 seconds with the manual gearbox. These numbers were provided by Porsche, so what owners actually see may differ.
Buyers in the UK can already put their names down in their dealership’s ordering books though those of you in the States will have to wait until March.
