I don't think that we are going to get the quad headlights for the 718. i think they are going to give us something that is closer to the headlights on the Cayman and Boxster.
I don't know, its plausible we get the technology from the MAcan in a similarly styled package to Cayman... ITs really not all that costly regardless. However keep in mind an LED setup would be optional not standard...
It would be a good thing to include as an option on the 718, but I doubt it would be standard. We haven't seen these lights on anything other than a CUV, so I am also wondering if they would look awkward at all on the little 718.
They do look cool in the the 911, but its not quite the same effect as the Macan. I wouldn't be opposed to them being in the 718, but I still don't think it is going to happen. I wouldn't bet on it.
Since the 718 is going to be an entry-level model that sits below the Boxster it's possible it may not get headlights as nice as what all the other porsche models come with.
wouldn't be totally surprised to see that happen.
No, something we haven't seen before would be beyond the current headlight tech they have on any of their vehicles, and that's not something likely to happen to the 718. If anything it has a chance of getting a headlight setup that's not as high tech as what they currently offer, something cheaper, that of course would be something we have seen before.
Even i can't say if i'm right or even wrong, just what I think could happen. Still, I can see how they can justify coming out with an LED headlight setup for it as a standard feature.
I don't think we should expect anything too exciting from the 718 headlights. They will be pretty standard and in line with the headlights on other Porsches. That keeps with they styling of the classic 718's headlights too, so it is being true to the 718's history.
