A while ago I read somewhere that it was Porsche practice to insert the Porsche wheel centre crest so that the emblem tip points at the tire valve. Today I checked my car and sure enough that's the way it came.

I assume a lot of the Porschefiles on this site knew this. My question is directed to owners who switch their wheels out for track days or just because they like the look of their other wheel set.

Do you follow this Porsche practice with due care, consideration, and respect for the brand? If you say yes I would say fanatic.

PS Any insult to anyone by this is totally not intentional. :D

When I first read about this, I immediately went in my garage and position the center caps toward the tire valve. I wanted to be part of the fanatic group!

I positioned the caps so the crest was pointing towards the valves on my 2014 Cayman but found they tended to move off-alignment over time. Nevertheless, I plan to do it with my 2018 Cayman. OCD factor for sure!
