I just got back from my local Porsche Centre where there was an introduction and meet for the two newest racing drivers to join the Porsche-specific competitions here in Australia: Leanne Tander and Chelsea Angelo.
Combined with a view of GT3 and Carrera Cup race cars was a chance to hear them talk, have a personal chat, and indulge in some fine wine and exquisite hors d'oeuvres.
Both women were stimulating presenters as well as interesting people and very motivated to win in a (male-dominated) motor sport competition. (Leanne had one of the strongest handshake grips I've experienced, as well as a brilliant smile!)
Their first races are tomorrow and Sunday at the Adelaide 500 festival. I don't have tickets but I'll be looking for coverage somewhere.
Really good evening. Go Porsche!
