Hello all 718 owners,

I’ve recently bought a used 718 Boxster S with PASM, PSE, Sport Chrono, but how do I find out if my car is opted with PTV?
Appreciate your kind advice in advance. Thank You.

I'm guessing you don't have/can't get the original build sheet. Based on the flag associated with your profile i'm guessing you're based in Malaysia. The easiest way to do it would be to buy a VIN report from stuttcars.com, this will provide you with the full spec on your car (down to the colour of your wheel weights). If I recall correctly it costs around 20 Euros.

If you're car didn't have PASM then you would know it doesn't have PTV either, as you need to spec PASM to be able to spec PTV. Generally though it is not high on most peoples options list, so purely based on that I would say the chances you have it are slim.

Does Porsche's LSD work like any other, in that you could jack up the rear of the car and spin a wheel? If the other drive wheel turns in the same direction, then it has an LSD. If if turns in the opposite direction, then it has an open differential.

My recollection is that PTV is coupled with a mechanical limited slip differential on our 718's.
