Looking to buy this unit for my 2019 Boxster. Anyone know if this will connect to my lighter or direct to the battery using a pig tail? I would prefer lighter.
Model number of recommended unit?

I bought the CTEK MUS 4.3 on Amazon but it came with the pig tail, so I bought the pig tail connection for it, again, off Amazon.

I believe Porsche sells it with a lighter connector so it should work with it.
The original Porsche charger is just a rebranded CTEK, so if you can get a better deal on a CTEK maybe you should consider one of those.
I got a CTEK MXS 5.0 myself which I used for my Mazda MX-5 Miata and plan to use on my 2019 718 Boxster.

Yup...buy the CTEK. Works fine. I have three 4.3s. Use one with the lighter outlet on my 718. No issues.

I have one that I got in late 2017 (don't know which version) and it connect to the lighter. I've it on my 718 for 3 1/2 months now since I broke my leg and cannot drive the car. It is working fine and I can start the car OK.
