I have a Backyard Buddy (lift that allows two cars to be stored one on top of the other) in my garage. I would like the Cayman power mirrors to fold on command so I can drive in (and back out) between the posts easier.

My Alfa Stelvio mirrors fold in when you shut the engine off, and fold out when the engine is started. That type of deployment is not useful for me.

Can the Cayman fold its mirrors on command?

Yes: There is a button on the door that allows you to fold the mirrors whenever needed. I do think there's a speed lockout on it (can't remember what that is), but that's the only limitation.

Also of note: The power-folding mirrors can be folded manually as well. You'll do no harm to anything. In fact, if you fold the mirrors in manually and forget to fold them back out, you can use the door button to fold them out. They'll 'pop' loudly as the motor nub re-seats into its notch, but it doesn't harm anything.

Just so you know, the standard mirrors can be folded by hand.
