I was going to get the electrically folding exterior mirrors option but then I found that it removes the Sport Design Mirrors.

Just wondering what people are opting for and if the power folding ones are really necessary on a Cayman?

I couldn't find any photos showing a comparison of the differences. :|

I'm inclined to go for the Sport Design Mirrors which come standard on my build unless the power folding ones look similar.

You can fold the Sport Design mirrors by hand.

Choice of style vs convenience. I chose style. I only need to fold the mirrors for my garage. If I lived in Europe with narrow parking spots, I might have gone electric.

There isn't any difference in appearance. The power folding mirrors are the sport design mirrors with added electrical folding and exterior courtesy lighting. If your dealer told you otherwise then they are confusing this with 911 sport design mirrors of the past.

You're right, it was the dealer who said they were different. Maybe because I asked him to throw them in with my package. :|

I don't think I really need them but my wife wants them and they are useful occasionally so... They are a $480US option here so it aint going to break the bank and if they look the same there is no harm done except to the wallet.

Where exactly is the exterior courtesy lighting? Does it add much? Anyone have any photos?
