If you had the money...do you do the entire car or just front end and mirrors for clear bra?

I have done both full front/rocker panels and backs of the mirrors on my 2018 718 CS (sold), and on my 2019 GT3-RS I did the entire car to include the headlights, and the Illuminated Carbon fiber door sills, and I would recommend full coverage if cost is not a major consideration. On the 2018 CS I had Llumar Ultimate used and applied by the dealership and I regret that decision given the quality of the results X2 (Park Place Porsche). On the 3RS I used Suntek Ultra and had a well regarded private vendor do the work and the results are flawless. I have put 2500 miles on the 3RS and no chips anywhere; looks brand new. In the case of the 718 I did not do the headlights and sustained significant chips after a couple of hundred miles.
Also I prefer Suntek because it has better optical properties than XPEL, i.e. no orange peel effect.

My just arrived 718 is being done complete front end to the door hinge lines, including mirrors and headlights. I had my 2016 and 2014 done half hood and rest the same but over time no matter how careful you could see the line just a bit...…..All these and the new one are very cark colors, Black, Mahogany, Night Blue...….and except for the slight line I mentioned, you could not distinguish covered from uncovered in finish and shine (I always coated the clear with non carnauba treatment.....).

I've been using carnauba on clear bra for 5 years with no issues... When talking to a clear bra dealer at BJ auction he recomended no petroleum based wax be used.

If you use a quality Carnauba (without petroleum)* it should not yellow the PPF but I still avoided using it on the PPF and went with Meguiar's "wax" sealants. Though, I stopped using Carnauba on my 718 painted surfaces because it acted like a dust magnet. Very different result with the Meguiar's sealants' which did not attract dust as quickly.

I have used Mother's or Mequiar's Synthetic/Nano on the clear wrap for years with 0 issues. I used Chemical Guys Opti Coat sealant on the balance of the car for brilliant shine and long lasting coverage (I claybar before applying same).

@Luke718 - My car is booked in for a complete detail and ppf. Once prepared and machine polished, CS black is applied which, as I understand, is a Gtechniq ceramic nano coat plus a sealant. After that has cured ppf is applied all round. The reason for this might seem overkill to some but bear the UK infrastructure in mind. The roads around here are narrow (sometimes not wide enough for 2 cars to pass) and lined with hedges. Hedges, especially during the winter are not very kind to the paintwork when they get closely acquianted. After the ppf has been aplied and the CS black is treatment is applied to that as well. It's stupidly expensive, agreed, but will pay for itself come px without having to do a respray. The EXO coat has to be topped up every 24 or so months. Overkill, possibly but I like my toy to look nice.
