Anyone else having low mileage tire wear on their 718 rear tires. My 718 base is now at the wear bar of its second set of Goodyear F1 rear tires with only 7400 miles on the car (about 3800 miles per set). I drive back roads aggressively and don’t track the car, and this seems excessive. I hear Michelins are better. Can anyone comment?

You need to stop using launch control so much. ;)
j/k

Do you have PTV optioned?
If not a big part is likely due to inside rear traction loss on corner exit. (no locking rear diff)
I doubt that the tires are to blame.

This thread has been moved to the Wheels and Tires subforum ...

... where, OP, you'll find several threads that discuss just this thing. Please research before posting a question; chances are you'll find the answer in one of the aforementioned threads.

Thanks, and welcome to the forum.

I also "drive back roads aggressively and don’t track the car". My original Goodyears will make 10,000 miles (I'm about 9200 now).

These are the same roads that vaporize motorcycle tires for me - it's a miracle if I can have a set that lasts 4000 miles.

I've got an S. I can't imagine how you'd drive a base car to go through tires at your rate.

My car came with Pirellis. They lasted about 5500 miles. Now on PS4S, hoping for better. I've only used launch control once, but it has been suggested that, in generate, PDK cars launch harder than manual cars. Not sure about that, but ok....
