So this isn’t the complete instructions, yet. But I have a parts list, minus the new switch assembly, for the PSE. I also have the install guide from the manufacturer / dealer. I will be doing a PDF type up for everyone to access, but for now, the parts list. I posted it in a Facebook 718 private group as well. You need the vacuum line, part -15- and the BK/YE (-11-) wire kit, as well as the switch set. You cannot reuse the switch assembly that you have now, it is different. Use the whole new setup.

Hi , I was looking at my newly acquired for me 2018 718 gts and while looking underneath and checking things out I noticed there is only 1 vacuum valve on the right muffler, there is no vacuum valve on left muffler, is that what you had, it seems odd that there is only 1 valve for left muffler, just curious

If you look at the Y pipe, the right side muffler is the straight shot out. Closing the valve forces the exhaust to go the long way around and out the left muffler. I'm not sure if the mufflers have different baffles inside, but just having to go the longer route will quiet it some.

I have PSE and the difference was barely noticeable between on and off until I replaced the Y pipe with an aftermarket one.

I don't see the vacuum solenoid in the parts list. I'm curious where it's located in the car.

I have a 2019 base Cayman with PSE and with the sport tailpipes and the difference is night/day for my setup. Very distinct difference in volume and base tone.

In the Cayman S (MY 18) there is significant difference inside the cabin not so much outside and from the distance. The difference is not as much volume but clarity there is a certain drone introduced by the Soundaktor. It mildly exaggerates the overrun burbles (inside the cabin). I decided I prefer the clearer sound without the SoundAktor, so off it stayed.

I simply cut the mufflers off my 2021 Cayman 2.0L base and went straight pipes. It's only a little bit louder but not bad at all and unless you're acting a fool, not likely to attract attention from the Police. No drone at highway speeds, but a pleasant tone and in sport mode a nice burble on lift off.
My car came with the Porsche Sport Exhaust muffler option as standard, but to tell the truth I had to be inside my garage with the car window open to tell the difference between quiet and lout. The loud mode was a real disappointment. Had I paid extra for this option, like in previous years before it was standard, I would be highly disappointed........ pissed off even. That's why I cut off the mufflers off from the axle back within a week of taking delivery. The turbo and cat work together to keep things from getting out of hand noise wise.

Well... I’d have to go back and look at my posts (I won’t because I’m too lazy). But I predicted the F4T 718 platform was ripe for mods from 2021 on. Mainly because they would be coming out of warranty and secondhand prices put them in reach for a much larger base. But doing this on a new car is crazy 😜, just fit a proper aftermarket system.
