So I'm about to purchase a non-PSE Boxster S. However, I do like having the option of having both a loud and quiet capability that the stock PSE provides through the valve flapper.

Looking at aftermarket options for exhaust, there are a few with valve capabilities that tie into the stock capabilities (Chrono & console button). So my question is this....is it possible to source and install just the console switch and get the associated PCM programming to make an aftermarket valved system function like stock PSE, or must I use a phone app or keyfob to actuate the valve on a non-PSE car?

I didn't know if perhaps the wiring harness/vacuum lines or whatever are already there for a non-PSE car.

Thanks for any insight!

You can link our key fob controls to the HomeLink buttons of your car as another option. We've installed our system on a PSE car with 100% functionality, so I imagine if you got everything minus the Porsche exhaust itself you would have functionality with an aftermarket exhaust.
