I just got a quote from a very reputable local Porsche performance shop to install H&R springs + full alignment for $2k including cost of the springs (so about $1,700 for labor + alignment). Does that seem reasonable? I was surprised and it seemed very high to me but I am new to the Porsche game so perhaps the Porsche tax is much worse than the BMW M tax I was previously accustomed to.

Seems high. I know the same job on an MX-5 (install new spings includung cost of new springs) was $1,000 when performed by a Mazda dealer.

What the **** are they smoking? Where are you located? I'll do it for half that. Check out your indy shops, should be around $700 - $900 for spring install and alignment.

Ha, yea I was expecting an all-in price of around $1k including springs. When it came back as more than double that I was like wtf. This is from an indy shop. I really like them and have seen their work and attention to detail which I know is top notch, but the price is hard to stomach.

I've been asking for a spring or coilover install with alignment. Called two places. I've gotten $750 at one (more of a VW/Audi shop that does other cars) and 10 hours @ $140/hr + $360 for the alignment at a Porsche specialist. One is literally twice the price of the other.

I got my car suspension install done at my local porsche dealership that labor and alignment totalled $2K. Suspension parts bought separately lol. But some nuts and bolts and other "one-time" use hardware were replaced. I could have gotten it done at an Independent shop or Porsche specialist shop for a lower price but since i will never change out my suspension after, i decided to just have it done at the dealership where its documented.
