Have any of you added old 911R, or Turbo S Exclusive, or GT3 RS style vinyl stripes to your cars? I would love to see some as I'm trying to determine what the best looking scheme for my Miami Blue will/could be.

i just prefer the subdued single strip w/ name at the bottom. since this photo was taken i have removed the bits from the front bumper. i think it looks better without them.

Have looked at a lot of stripes in Google Images!

For a while I was keen on the Martini livery (minus logo, so effectively a racing stripe) which was a factory option on the 918. Then thought about doing a similar pattern but in the more understated color combination of the GT3 pictured. Finally, just the Guards Red center stripe against my Jet Black Metallic finish.

But ultimately, any kind of center stripe proved just a bit too, shall we say, boy-racer for my taste (which runs more towards classic black factory paint-job with just a splash of styling flash/color). So I'm headed in a different direction now, though still using partial wrap as per the stripes. Will post a computer-graphic mock-up when I get it soon.....

Have thought about it myself..found a company in San Diego that has many examples and ideas..KI Studios...check it out KIstudios.com
I have been mulling this type or personalizing also. The sapphire blue I think may be the most difficult to match aesthetically. So many high end sports cars, Ferrari, Porsche, Viper have come with factory stripes that I don't see it as a boy racer thing either. Something simple and tasteful would be nice.

I really like this look I’m thinking about doing it on my gts
Anybody else put stripes on there 718
My white cayman T is in production and I didn’t cancel the model designation decals on the doors love them I’m considering adding black bonnet and hood stripes like in the pic but concerned about paint differences if i take them off in the future although I hardly park my car outside but then again driving in the sun...

You can play around with a few stripe options on the Porsche configurator. Miami Blue is no longer available, but I think you can get an idea on a Shark Blue car instead. For example, see attached...

My reticence about putting a stripe has to do with the fact that the day i remove the stripe there will be a noticeable difference in paint fade. This is probably more an issue for me than others since I live in Miami, where paint companies test samples for paint fade.

have to say, love the Matt black with those stripes 😎
there is an option on the 911 convertible to have a stripe and a sown in one on the roof, which is also nice.

Our #1 local PPF/Ceramic/Detailing shop uses this Canadian firm for their Porsche decals. They look BEAUTIFUL. Very fair prices and quick shipping! The owner of RennDecals will do any "custom colors" you want. All top-quality 3M vinyl.
