I'm a new Porsche owner and just bought a brand new cayman S.
I have noticed wetness/ rain on both side's doors sills after raining once I open the door. Doors and windows were never opened during rain. Is this a "normal" issue with the Cayman or all Porsche models? if so do you guys just wipe and dry off each time? just concerned that the metal parts will rust.

First, @Scotch : Welcome to the forum!

As for the moisture in the sills: This is typical in ANY car. One run through a car wash will make that evident. It's just accentuated in the case of the 718 because of the design of the fenders, particularly the horizontal 'hump' at the top of the sill. Gravity makes it all drip down from there. :giggle:

Note where the weatherstripping is for the doors. If moisture gets past that, then you have a problem. RIght now, what you describe is absolutely normal.

Yes it’s normal because it’s classed as the outside of the car, the rain runs in the gap between door and body which isn’t sealed.
