The rear spoiler on my 718 is not lowering fully. It still goes up and down, but when down it is not all the way down and flush. Maybe sitting 10mm too high.

Anyone seen this before?

I had the same issue on my CS, raise the spoiler and there is a height adjustment.
Got that tip drom someone in here, search it.

I let Porsche fix it since the car was under warranty

Am I correct in saying yours was incorrectly adjusted from the factory? Mine was fine, and I believe the adjustment is correct.

I've noticed that when the spoiler is down I can apply gentle pressure and push it all the way down into place. So it seems it's 'sticking' on the way down.

The car has been sat unused for a few weeks (due to Winter weather) so I wonder if it's just seized up a little?

Press once to raise.

Push and hold to lower. When it stops flashing it has fully lowered (or not in my case!).

This works when you are stationary.

If you are moving, it goes up or down with a single push

Hi guys washed the car this morning and raised the spoiler. Went for a short drive didn't exceed 40mph got back and tried to lower the spoiler. The button flashes as I hold it down but it doesn't go down fully(it sits about 10 or 15 mm to high), any ideas?

By now it should have dried. I'd give it a brief press to raise it, and then give it a good look while raised to see if there is any impediment, and then do the long hold and see if it seats properly.

Tried your suggestion but no change. So just took the car out for a drive so the spoiler would go up then retract on it's own. But same issue (nothing in the way).
Looks like a call to Porsche tomorrow.

When and how the spoiler goes down seems to be a mystery. I've had a few "I can't figure that out." moments, but eventually it always went back down to the right place.

Porsche do this under warranty. Mine was just done. A previous Boxster of mine was the same. Its 2.5hours under warranty. No stress no biggie.

Cheers guys yes the technician mentioned calibration Seems to try to go right down then jumps up and the button flashes.

Car Is under warranty so will be covered i would imagine. Is in next Tuesday so will let you know what it was.

Back from the Porsche Centre, they initially thought I may need a mechanism, apparently it is not unusual. But they have recalibrated it and it appears to be OK. If it does it again they will fit the new part.

As an aside I had an A8 50L loan car which was a bit different.
