I just installed the OE 996 GT3 LCA kit from Tarett.
With a 10mm + 2mm + 1mm(Litronic bracket), I’m at -2.4 and roughly mid position at the top slots.

[edit]
Be careful with some of the 3rd part LCAs as you will also need tension control arms..
With the OE LCA kit from Tarett I was able to keep my tension arms.
The OE LCAs have two tension arm holes, one for GT3 and another for GT3RS (?)
The secondary hole works perfectly.
Tarett also provides spacers so that the fork on the tension arms work.

Thanks. Would I need the tension control arms with the LCA kit from RSS? I'm thinking of doing the RSS-372, since it comes with 15mm additional length so that I may not need to mess with the shims and just adjust from the top of the strut.

I really cant answer this as I dont know how the RSS compares to what I have.
JMO but I wouldnt want LCAs without shims as you as you are locked in.

Shims are a one time course adjustment, after that all adjustment is done up top.

I've seen alignments shims available for the 981, and presumably they will fit the 982/718.

Is there any disadvantage to using just shims to improve camber?

Seems like an economical option if you just want to set and forget. I would think for street/track work -2-2.5 deg would be more than adequate so only 0.5 to 1 deg more than the max setting without shims.

Anyone know how much negative camber this guys would give without shims?

How about this one?

Don't know which one to get. I would like to target 2.0-2.5 negative camber at the front. Tried contacting RSS but to no avail.

Thanks!
I installed 996 GT3 arms with 10mm shims + 1mm litronic brackets on both sides. Pushed the strut all the way in and I have -2.6*

What is the litronics bracket for? I have GTS manual with SPASM (20mm drop).
718 PASM uses all 4 sensors to determine the pitch and roll of the car and adjusts the dampers accordingly.

Did you end up doing this? I've been investigating LCAs for a while now and the RSS do seem like good value. My local workshop has installed quite a lot of them and they seem to think they are comparable to the Tarret Cup ones. They didn't say anything about needing tension arms with the RSS LCAs but did advise on getting the rear adjustable toe kit and of course the litronics brackets for the PDLS.

My understanding is that the 372 RSS-XL kit is more for motor sport applications where you want -3 deg of camber or more.

I calculated/estimated that using the standard 361 RSS LCAs or the GT3 or Cup ones (assuming these are all a standard length) you could achieve approx -2.5 deg on the front using 8mm shims, and -2.5 deg on the rear using 6mm shims.

no I haven’t moved forward with it. I’ve been OK with the max stock camber of -1.8 on the fronts and roughly -1.3 rear.

I've been researching LCA options including RSS, Tarret Cup, GT3 OEM, Elephant Racing and RSR/GT3 hybrids.

Unfortunately I have been unable to source any of these from our local suppliers downunder.

Mike, just wondering if you can still supply these? I know you've offered great deals in the past.

We can supply Tarret and RSS. We can apply forum pricing but there isn't much margin on these so it won't be a miracle. :) I usually forward anyone interested in the finer suspension details to John Gaydos here who has built many GT3 and GT4 cars and knows the components and specs intimately for street and track use.

John says he never received an email and we checked his spam folder - not sure why, but he will contact you. If you don't hear from him by the end of the day you can email me at [email protected] and I will connect you two! Sorry for the inconvenience.
