We picked our Cayman GTS in Atlanta at Porsche PEC and drove it home to South Florida. The Atlanta Delivery option is worth every penny. We had a reserved table over looking the track for lunch. A nice tour of the Porsche Museum and a great delivery. They really took their time going over every aspect of the car. We then spent an hour and half on the track. We had a great, great time.

Very nice! I like the painted side air intakes. Obviously, I think you picked the best color. :)

It also looks like you didn't waste any time before tint and clear corners. Looks great.

Congratulations! Beautiful GTS. The PEC is alot of fun too. Hope to see you around South FL sometime.....though my 718 is spending the summer in Pennsylvania enjoying some nice backroads.

Taking delivery of my sapphire blue boxster S on Monday. Ordered in January, the wait has been exhausting! Thankfully it landed at the port in RI and made it to the dealer on Long Island in only 3 days. Something about the build process actually went fast!

We picked up the car in Atlanta Thursday afternoon, drove home Friday and got the clear bra and tints done on Saturday. The clear markers were installed on Monday. 925 miles so far and it has been great.

Congratulations and best of luck with your new car. Soon you will have forgotten all about how long it took to get here.

Great color. I pick up my sapphire blue BS Monday morning, after a tedious 6 month wait to be built. Then off to the body shop to get the tires powder coated gloss black, as well as the rear spoiler and the 718 Boxster on the rear in glossy black. Tough to wait 6 months for car to be built only to lose it for a few more days while the car gets its glossy black details, but such is life :)

I’ll probably drive my car back down after summer, when my work schedule will be less busy. For the time being, I am enjoying the 718 on some twisty/ hilly roads....a nice change from SoFL. I really enjoy the manual on the backroads, whereas in Miami the PDK is a sensible choice. I have a better appreciation for how well this car handles and tolerates the road imperfections. I thought it would be an uncomfortable and bumpy ride considering I have the 20 mm lower suspension and 20 inch wheels. I hope to attend the next Gold Coast track event at Homestead in October. My car was not broken in yet for the last event in March, so I just drove there to check it out. I met and chatted with the Gold Coast VP, nice guy.

I just passed 1000 miles yesterday so I still have a ways to go. I’m sure the back roads there with no stop lights would be great to drive. PCA has a lot of great events all year long. I did Homestead in my Camaro a few years ago with a different group. Diving down from the straight always into the infield track is intimidating the first few times you do it. Have fun up there.

It will be fun to experience the 718 on a track and appreciate the capabilities of the car. Things get fast very quickly on public roads before you have to reign things in. I took mine for a joyride this afternoon on some very narrow back roads and even went thru a single lane covered bridge from ( i guess ) the 1800s!

Sounds like that would have been a great spot for a couple of pictures.

...Congrats on the 1000 mile mark. Your 10 hour trip from Atlanta sure helped! (looking at doing the PEC also)...before you know it, you'll be past the mystical break in mark!
