I've trawled through and searched previous posts.
There's not much on SD Memory Cards.
I don't want to clutter up the cars Memory / Jukebox with my music.

As I don’t own an iPhone (Yet) and have to remember to take my iPod with me if I want to listen to decent music, I brought a 32GB SD Memory Card (only £10 off Amazon).
Copied over most of my Music from iTunes onto the Card, very easy to do, and it’s now tucked away under the Display Screen in the slot. Works a treat.

The only issue I’ve had, is it won’t copy over my “Playlists” without jumbling up all the songs into a different order. I’ve tried a couple of things without luck to correct this.
(Like removing the track No. on the Playlist.... it then just puts them in alphabetical order... I hate Computers!!! )
Googling the problem the only way I can see of solving this issue is to download a program onto iTunes specifically just to sort this issue.
Has anyone else found an easy way to solve the “Playlist” problem?
Listening to an Album is fine, but I don't want to be trying to select another Album whilst driving on longer journeys.

i don't see what itunes would have to do with it. you are using portable storage to play from, not an iphone or ipod, so not sure where that would enter the equation. an alternative could be to make a folder for each playlist, then play only the tracks from that folder (no random). you could skip folders (playlists) anytime you wanted to and only play from there.

i have a 128g card about half full i leave in the car, but i just set it to random and skip as needed. personally i've never like playlists (outside of say maybe throwing a party) as i don't always want to listen to the same songs in the same order.

I created a new folder then dragged over the playlist into it.
The Playlist looks fine on the PC and is in the right order.
But when you put the SD Card into the car it jumbles it up.
When you Google this issue it seems to be a common problem across a lot of different car owners.
My OCD prefers things in the same order.

I use a Mac, and I created an Automator workflow to select an iTunes playlist, copy it to a folder in Finder, then rename them and make them sequential by adding a two or three digit number at the beginning of the file. i.e:

001.Track1
002.Track2
003.Track3
etc

Not tried adding a sequential 3 digit no.
That may work on a PC.
When I get time I will give it a go.

Thanks

I have wondered about playlists in general and how to get them to the Bose stereo in my car. I have uploaded my music to the Jukebox but the only way that I can see to create a playlist is based upon star ratings for each track. I don't have any star ratings on any tracks, so the Jukebox just plays all tracks, and I have it set to "random". There are times that I would like to limit what I am listening to to a particular artist and simply randomize all of that artist's tracks. But I haven't been able to make that happen as of yet. FWIW, I had the same problem with my Audi A5, which I believe uses the same system as my Cayman.
