Gtechniq C2V3 was advised by my PPF installer, it's a ceramic sealant and recommended because wax based substances tend to leave deposits around the edges of the film. That won't look pretty for a start, but you also don't want to get the wax under the film either.
I've carefully applied Maguire's quick spray wax to no ill effect though, C2V3 is just very easy to apply too with that comforting sacrificial layer to protect even the film.
