Sorry Johan but that might be better if you explained more exactly. Unfortunately not everything in every country is precisely the same, service intervals, warranty, running in periods, etc etc. To exactly what are you referring?
Sure--an electrically operated valve that lets engine sound into the passenger compartment. It's for those for whom sound is THAT important.

Its an Electric sound actuator, so its almost like a speaker.
I dont have any problems if engine/exhaust noise are played from the cars speakers but here you have alot of padding on top so i guess its some kind of resonator.
And of course i want to know how much noise it ads.

My 986 have a Brutal intake sound and the exhaust sounds like a dragon burping, and i find the 718 so much better and more quit.
If can take the noise even further down i would definitely try to disconnect the actuator

I recall that there is actually a thread elsewhere on this forum regarding that very subject & some of our members have already been experimenting with doing exactly that. :)

I have a 718 Boxster--no S, no sport exhaust, and I can't say that I've ever noticed it working.
AFAIK it is a valve to a resonance channel and not an electrically amplified speaker.
I can't say I've personally felt the desire to even experiment & am happy enough to leave everything as it came from the factory. If Porsche themselves decided a revision was due I might investigate if anything was available as a retrofit, but in the absence of that I'll just leave well alone.
