Hello,
As the title states, I feel like a slight vibration at 2100 RPM in 7th gear and 80 mph. I can recreate it every single time by setting it on cruise control and it comes on every other second. It feels like something is coming on and then shutting off but it only happens when your not mashing the gas. I have felt the same vibration in older cars but not in newer cars. I have about 14K miles on the car with PSE.

Thanks for the feedback!

My Boxster has a *slight* vibration at about 2100 rpm with medium load. I know the 4 cyl boxer engine is not as balanced as others and some slight vibration is normal so I never paid it any attention. It goes away at other speeds/revs.

@johan - Yes I have the sound aktor disconnected. I also upgraded the lights to 35w from the original 25w. I have driven with the lights all the way off so I know it isn't caused by the lights.
@GregW - is the vibration on-going if you keep it at 2100 RPM at medium load. Like a vibration going thru the car, stop and then does it again? Mine almost feels like how my 99' maxima felt when the compressor's clutch was bad and it wasn't engaging.

I'm going to reach out to my SA to see whats else it could be.

My vibration is very slight (I can only sense it if I focus on it) and to my mind clearly engine rpm and load connected--it's constant in those conditions and doesn't fluctuate. My V8s did it, my V2s did it, my Subaru's did it. If it's not like that with yours then do get it checked.

Our cars do have virtuell gears.
It slips the clutch but the manuel does not say when ....
But your using the Cruise when you feel it, mayby!?

Is the start/stop On or Off when you feel it?

@982CS - You could be right. Can I turn off the PSE and not feel it? or is it a constant. I also don't think I ever felt it before.
@GregW - Thank you for the insight. I think I'm going to get it checked out as just a precaution b/c earlier this year I found out that Porsche had left one of my motor mounts unbolted. I only found out when I heard a shaking noise when the engine was revving high.
@johan - The Start/Stop was on last time i felt it. I'll try driving it tonight without start/stop engaged.

I appreciate all of the feedback! this forum is pretty amazing.

I cant see how the rattle from the valve could such a vibration, well if you have a sensitiv butt maybe you could ;)
Also, we know that the valve opens at 2000rpm but is it the same when your up to speed?
On older Boxsters/Caymans tha valve opend above 50km/h in Europe and if i remember correct US models did not have the same "limitation"
