Hi,

I have a RHD 718 (if it matters).

When turning left at slow speed the steering makes a noise. Sounds like it is coming from inside the cabin. It doesn't do it at standstill or when creeping along, but is noticeable at 5-10mph. It doesn't do it at all when turning right.

Any ideas?

It's not the skipping. I'm well aware of that effect.

It sounds like the steering column rubbing or something. I have to turn the steering wheel about 90deg to make the sound, and it only does it as I'm turning the wheel back and forth. Only does it turning left, and doesn't do it at standstill or creeping along.
