Anyone planing on striping their Porsche if so what design(s) and colors (colours) are you looking at and associated costs if known. Any recommended vendors by region would be helpful as well.
Apparently, Mr GT, Andreas Preuninger doesn't agree with you; Cadillac.......:laugh:Step away from the Porsche. Maybe this works on a Cadillac, not a Porsche, just IMO. Your money though.
I already own enough cars with decals and stripes on them. LOL! (see below)Anyone planing on striping their Porsche if so what design(s) and colors (colours) are you looking at and associated costs if known. Any recommended vendors by region would be helpful as well.
Not a bad idea but the decals from "Renndecals" go on top of the PPF and are easily removed/peel off. Though, to assure they are applied with precision I am having the PPF vendor apply them.I already own enough cars with decals and stripes on them. LOL! (see below)
But have you ever considered magnetic or static-cling stripes? Might be easier to play around with.
I have magnetic "Porsche" fender crests on my Cayman......I take them off for washing or if I just want to change the look.
...I think stripes and decals, when done properly, can enhance a vehicle. Note "when done properly". I find most factory applied decals look good ( for example, 911 R, GT3 RS...love the old Carrera decals etc.) BUT, subjectively, you can "junk up" any car if overdone. One thing is sure, I will not be "striping" my 2019 GT4! It, as most of our prides and joy's, has more than enough visual impact without defacing it with excessive stripes, decals etc. Just my subjective opinion...you're welcome to yours!?Sometimes that extra embellishment works, like in the 911 series non-turbo as the side profile of the 911 isn't as sculpted as the Cayman series. I like the side stripes, but without the scripting. Everyone knows what they are with their iconic lines. On the classic Porsche works great also the new Carrera T.
To each their own I guess. Variety is the spice of life.
I posted this awhile back and have since found a vendor that I will be using for any future decals, Renndecals it was recommended by a Rennlister. Some of the decals look great and are easily removed if needed or desired.

...like I said, "when done properly". The decals on the old GTO Judge simply work for that vehicle but I couldn't see adding more as an "enhancement".?The high watermark for decals to really set off a car is the 1970 GTO Judge with body color in organge............../forum/images/718forum/smilies/tango_face_smile.png. Like others have said, your car, your money......
...curb feelers...brings me back. Hmmmm....perhaps not so far fetched considering those expensive wheels...LOL...actually would have come in handy years ago when attempting a not so successful parallel park job, up hill, in one of my Corvettes...ouch! ...?I posted this awhile back and have since found a vendor that I will be using for any future decals, Renndecals it was recommended by a Rennlister. I've always like these historical side decals. These are nothing like the disgusting pinstripes I believe @cipher is likely referencing. I mean, it's not like you're wanting to add whitewall tires and curb feelers. /forum/images/718forum/smilies/tango_face_smile.png
Whitewall tires and curb feelers.......let me think........I guess I'll pass on those mods.......not 100% sure on the whitewalls.I mean, it's not like you're wanting to add whitewall tires and curb feelers.![]()
Correct. Nothing wrong with the traditional bottom rocker stripes to even the GTS sticker etc.I've always like these historical side decals.
