This is really hard to explain, but only occasionally on cold start I hear a faint double "long beep" that sounds like it comes from the right rear. Its too faint and sporatic to capture digitally. Kind of like the door lock tone, but much more muted. It has happened a half dozen times and I see no lights or alarms on the dash. Anyone else hear this?

I have heard this on mine when setting off in cooler weather.
It happens only in the first minute or so of driving when the rev’s get to about 3 or 4000rpm.
I believe it is just an audible warning to remind you to keep the rev’s down till the engine has started to warm up properly.
Not bothered yet to look through the owners manual to see if that is definitely the case, but that’s what I think it is.

Yup, I heard it the other day. And my brakes were locked even after releasing the brake. AND I thought my valves were stuck open.

Any updates in the last 5 days?
I went to Rusnak Pasadena yesterday to pick up my car after being in the shop for nearly 30 days. Unfortunately, they said they were not able to replicate the noise. My car mostly makes the noise while accelerating between 2000 to 5000 rpm on cold start ups. I find it completely ridiculous and unacceptable for a dealer to be in possession of a car for nearly 30 days and not being capable of reproducing a sound I can easily reproduce on almost every cold start up when leaving my house (as shown in my video posted above). Seems like the techs can't follow simple directions since they continuously test drove the car when the engine was warm. On top of it all the dealer has the audacity to tell me that even if they replicate the noise they wouldn't even know how to diagnose and fix the issue unless the issue was so severe and constant that they could easily pin point the exact area the sound is coming from. Porsche cooperate is aware of my unresolved engine beeping issue and I will be further contacting them later today to voice my concerns and to demand a resolution. Clearly a handful of 718's are plagued with this issue!!! As a consumer of a product with a warranty, we are entitled to have a car free of any major defects. Therefore, Porsche must take what ever steps as is necessary to diagnose and fix the engine beeping noise.

Now the icing on cake!!! So I started my car up to leave the dealer, and immediately my car started making a horrific loud engine tapping sound that lasted several minutes. Fortunately the service adviser was there and acknowledged that the tapping was unusual. Upon further inspection I also noticed that the techs had negligently forgot to put back the engine carpeting cover behind the seats. Supposedly my car was inspected by both the manager and lead tech before I went to pick up it up and they both verified it was complete and ready for pickup ??. They must have not been wearing their eye classes at the time of the inspection! On top of all that, my rear truck release button was no longer working. At the end I was forced to leave my car at the dealer and did not take my car home.

JakiChan if I may ask, where are you located? I am in the los angeles area. And have you brought the beeping noise to your local dealers attention?

You really need a new dealer/service department!

My sincere sympathies ... this dealership standard is totally unworthy of the Porsche brand. Let us know how it eventually pans out ...

I hope you get this sorted, that level of service is unacceptable for any car but especially Porsche considering both the purchase and maintenance costs we have to pay (get better service with Toyota).

Mine sometimes (mainly if its been left for a few days) makes what I think is an unusual noise when unlocking - as the doors unlock there is also what is best described as 'sucking' sound just for a second. I am ignoring it for the time being as not using the car much due to lockdown but if it gets worse ill be taking it in to be looked at.
