Some owners like lowering their Porsches, a rare few may even slam theirs, and then there are those who would like to lift the 718 a bit. Well TechArt has just released a front axle lift system for the Porsche 718, which should alleviate owner anxiety whenever a ramp or speed hump appears.

A German automobile tuner, TechArt specializes in producing kits specific to Porsche models. They already have aero kits, carbon fiber packages, custom wheels, and bespoke interiors for both the new Porsche 718 Boxster and the 718 Cayman.

Now according to CarScoops, the company has a lift kit that can increase the 718’s ground clearance by 2.3 inches at the push of a button”. The kit consists of two front and two rear sport springs, two hydraulic cylinders, a hydraulic pump, installation kit and instructions. The full Diy package if you decide to install it yourself.

There’s also a power kit from the same company if a 50 horsepower and 44 lb-ft increase is desired. This will also reduce the 718’s 0-62 mph sprint speed by 0.3 seconds and increase top speed to 184 mph.

Pricing for the new lift kit was not mentioned, but with TechArt displaying a tuned 718 Cayman S at the ongoing Essen Motor Show, perhaps it’s just a matter of time until that nugget of information is publicised.

Forget the lift system (it's an OEM option on 911s):

Does anyone need that smiley face-shaped fake grill that goes just below the bonnet's lip?

Wait ... wait! I know! That grill must've been made exclusively for Car Scoops dot com. See, it's a scoop, on a car, and it's fake and does nothing -- just like a lot of the writing that goes on that site ...

:: sigh ::

So inquired about lift kit pricing, parts alone are nearly $8K USD and nearly $8.5K if you don’t already have the smokers package...

8k for the parts only, wow, typical Techart pricing.
The lift in the 991 costs around 2,5k (2.2k Euro)
