The Ultimate Porsche (982) 718 Boxster/Cayman Catback Exhaust Suite for the 2.0T and 2.5T is here!

Our system is customizable, easy to install, weighs 34% less than the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE), sounds aggressive but pleasant, and looks amazing. We achieve all of this at an affordable price while using premium materials and world-class manufacturing techniques!

In stock form, 718 is quiet, even with the Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE), but the APR system wakes up the vehicle and gives the turbocharged boxer engine the sound profile it deserves. Expect a deep boxer growl that will turn heads and enhance the driving experience. Track enthusiasts will actually be able to hear their exhaust as they blow past the competition. The system has many optional tips so you can customize the looks to your desire. It supports both valved and non-valved factory setups, and has options for adding one or two mufflers to accommodate everyone’s needs on and off the track!

Expect only the highest quality components in each configuration. We use high quality T304 stainless steel components with mandrel bending, brushed finishes, and TIG welding throughout. V-band clamps make swapping components quick and easy. Precision bracketry means it fits right the first time. Our no-compromise flex sections don’t collapse, billow, and fail like many components on the market. The rear x-pipe maximizes performance, and enhances the sound profile, and our 4” slash cut tips give the system a motorsport inspired look you can configure to your desire. These are just a few design highlights that make this system an absolute must for any 718!

Configuration Recommendations / Optional Mufflers / Optional Valve

In the base configuration the system is sold without mufflers or valves. We’ve found this to sound excellent with the factory catalyst in place and is likely the most common setup customers will choose. On vehicles with the Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) with exhaust valve, we’ve also found the setup sounds even better when using our optional valve, even without adding an additional muffler. When it comes to track customers that have modified their factory catalyst with third party components, we suggest adding a combination of our mufflers and valves, depending on the setup, to quiet down the system during normal daily driving or if required by a specific track. Our v-bands will make swapping between mufflers and straight pipes easy for any track-going customer where minimizing weight is typically the goal. In all cases, we’ve designed this system so you can start with the base system and add mufflers and valves later if you so desire.

Optional Tips

APR also has optional tips averrable, including single and double walled tips in 3.5" and 4", in polished silver, brushed silver, and diamond black. Here are several double walled 4" options:

That's killer! Love the flexibility in the system set up and the quality V-band clamps. Is there a downpipe option coming too?

We don't touch emissions components, so no downpipe plans. We did test it out during development. No power gains, but louder and less weight. Feel free to do as you want on that front.

Does it come with an european approval certificate?
I'm personally not fully aware of the regulations on a system like this as it's a catback and does not alter emissions. In the USA we don't need any approvals for such systems. However, typically our importers will on popular systems in Germany if there are any other ratings I'm not aware of.

Ok thx, in order to pass yearly technical inspections aftermarket exhausts need EEC/EEG or TUV homologation documents here in Belgium (and most of Europe)

System looks great and sounds nice.

Its crazy how quiet of a car the 718 is though. Even with no mufflers its a tame purr and not a loud roar. I think about any other car I have owned and if I removed the mufflers you would be able to hear it coming from a mile away.

Hey @[email protected] looks and sounds awesome! Was the car in the video tuned or stock? Also, with the exhaust tips can we change them out on order and pay the difference or do we need to order another set of what we want? Lastly, what is the warranty? Are you gonna match Soul with lifetime including track use?

Hi Arin,

Just checking on the power side of things. I see you say there are no power claims about the exhaust. Does that also mean that the customisation options for this exhaust are purely for control of sound... there is no performance benefit in different options. So valve closed on one side and all flow through a single muffler has the same performance as two straight throught pipes with no valves/mufflers?

Also, if a car has not got PSE, do you provide any options for valve control if a valve was to be added or do you recommend not using the valve option unless the car has PSE?

Ordered mine! Have the tracking number and if it’s here by the weekend I’ll throw it on the car on Sunday. Can’t wait!
Oh, good. I'm glad to hear that we have an early adopter, already. I think the price and options on this APR exhaust are really compelling and I will be curious to hear what you think.

What configuration did you choose?

Turbocharged / factory catalyst setups do tend to be quiet. Especially when the exhaust isn't in the front of the car running to the back. I was of the opinion the base straight pipe setup was completely fine for daily driving, but I did prefer the valve just so I could quiet it down on the highway since we have the valve control on our GTS. Now, if you have modified the catalyst, or removed it, it's going to get a bunch louder. We did that to ours for testing and it was pretty freaking awesome, but maybe a bit too much for everyday life. So, in those situations the valves and muffler options are great. My thought here is that people will purchase the base system and then add to it if they feel it's too loud. Then when they got to the track they'll use the v-bands to hot swap the components back to straight pipes for weights and sound.
