Hey, everyone.

From time to time, you may have occasionally noticed a few posts from either myself or my good driving buddy Luke Ward (@lukesward). What we've not revealed until now is that Luke and I have simultaneous orders for two 718 GTS 4.0s: one a Boxster GTS, one a Cayman GTS, both in Guard's Red, both manuals, and specced in a very similar manner. We've ordered them (placed a year ago) with European Delivery and have a really grand dream of doing a super-detailed content piece of the whole experience, shared as driving buddies. This idea has evolved and morphed to the point where we actually think -- if done right -- it could actually be something in which Porsche might see some brand value and who knows, might want to collaborate on.

We also thought that maybe the forum community might want a peek at what we have in mind. We are calling our story idea "The GTS Chronicles". Check the following three pieces of media out, if you've got a few moments:

1. A short promotional video describing our vision (3m42s):

2. An Instagram feed "chronicling" the GTS Chronicles - @gtschronicles
(an ongoing timeline of significant events along with various semi-random things related to this journey)

3. And finally, a web page describing what The GTS Chronicles is
(and a bit of our backstory) - The GTS Chronicles (https://gtschronicles.com)

Let us know if you have any feedback. We're a little nervous that maybe this is all too cheesy or geeky, but whatever, we're hopeless enthusiast car nerds, so bring it on!

That's one impressive pitch to get moved up on the Porsche GTS waiting list! Thankfully I already have mine, but it would be hard for me to object if I had gotten bumped a slot or two to let Porsche fulfill your Porsche GTS Chronicles dream.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for the kind words! (and by kind words I mean that you would actually consent to being bumped a slot or two on a waiting list - that means a lot). To be honest, we're not advocating to be moved ahead of anyone else - just wouldn't feel right. We're just a little bit anxious that we could be bumped in our waiting slots (we've been told we are both #1 in our respective Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS lists) for someone with a more expensive build or someone who's got a bunch of referrals with their dealership or.... I don't know. It's nerve-wracking waiting for allocations - especially for two that have to come paired, like ours.

Thanks Dave!

That's one heck of an eye-catching build you have yourself 💥 There's something about the shape of the Cayman that just says "perfect" to me! Both Andrew and I are big fans of your Cayman S 5-spoke rims - so much so we have photoshopped them onto our GTS builds :)

(although it annoys us that the "dishing" at the rear of the render of the 5-spokers is wrong).

Look forward to chatting!

Cheers,
Luke

Thanks Ed! We’re at the top of our list, and wouldn’t feel good about getting promoted ahead of somebody out of turn, but we sure think we’ve got a unique story to tell when the time comes. Glad you have yours - maybe we will be next!!

Build it... Er... Film it.... Drive it.... Produce it.... I for one, will view and head down memory lane with you. I did this in 73' (sans Porsche blessing) in my factory delivered 911 on many of the European bendy bits. The project has merit and curb appeal... I think Porsche might go for it.... With the advent of GoPro's, drones, suction cup mounts, video editing software, iPhones, the internet, et al........ To say I was decades too early would be an understatement.

Hey all... a couple of updates to share regarding The GTS Chronicles: One is that for both @lukesward and I, Track Your Dream now shows a European Delivery pickup date in July (the same day for both of us, so that seems to confirm we're properly paired up for a simultaneously delivery). Very exciting.

Separate from that, Luke and I have done a refresh of our "Pitch" video to Porsche - complete with little tweaks that reflect the current state of affairs of both our builds and their statuses - as well as a little more polish and editing here and there. Check it out if you haven't already seen it (or even if you have)...

Porsche may supply the sheet metal, but your story exemplifies the soul of what the journey is all about. Thanks.
