Hi all
I‘m also one of those guys who experience all sort of rattles in my CGTS. I bought this car new and the issues started indeed at day one. Very anoying and I worked through some ideas but still suffering...

The purpose of this thread is to summarize and bring together your experiences and fixes of all kind of rattles.

Let me start what I already did:
- Passenger seatbelt, push up the fix ring so that the belt is not ratteling
- Screw out the cabs in hatchdoor that helps to remove some rattle
- Foam some areas of the inner trim in the back - did not really help a lot but you never know...
- Put some hard foam under the cover of the oil and water cap. The pressure helps to remove some significant rattle
- Remove the lighter in the middle console. Seems to work in some cases but not with me
- Remove the seatbelt cover cap who is covering the screw of the seatbelt mounting point
- Replace the hatchdoor lock mechanism - it was under warranty but did not help

Long story short, still have rattles, mainly coming from the back. Drives me nuts. So any other input / good results should go int this thread.

Cheers

Just a couple of Q's, i take it your on about the screws on the privacy blind at the back? ive fully tightened them as thought that might help, worth screwing them out more you think?

Also foam under the oil/water caps, so screw the cap off and put some foam under there so the cap fits tighter?

Have had a tonne of rattles and vibrations through the cabin, Ive been a little disappointed with mine also, my GT86 I had previously had less.

I had better results to screw them out instead of fully tighten them, so yes, I would take that approach.

I was maybe missleading with my commend; Some of the ratttle I could successfully remove was caused by the two plastic tubes where the oil and water caps are screwed in. So the fix was by putting some hard foam under the covers (not under the caps) so this is causing pressure on the oil and water cap. As a result the tubes are now not rattling anymore.

Ahh i see, so did you remove some trim for the caps? or can it be done by removing the cap itself? just to double check im doing the right thing.

Ive had rattles since day 1 and its been getting on my nerves, never had so may issues with a brand new car.

Not sure if we discuss the same. Two action items to take:
1. There are two rubber caps left and right side plugged into the hatchdoor. You can adjust by tighten them or screw them out. So screw them out as far as possible so you still can close the door but with some pressure. That helps.
2. Under two covers just behind the seats you find the oil and water caps. These caps are screwed into a plastic tube. These tubes have some play that causes this rattle. So the fix is to put som harder foam under those two covers that will cause pressure on the oil and water caps. Do nothing with these caps. They have to be closed. As a result the tubes will stop to move and the rattle is gone.

Another action I just took today with great result was to stick some felt on those two black knobs left and right side insight the water tube of the hatchdoor frame. Seems like in some frequencies these knobs start to rattle. When you close the door you will see where these knobs make contact to the two others mounted at the hatchdoor.

So Zydi, had a good investigation this weekend, tweaked the bump stops on the rear hatch and twisted them out a little more, that definitely has helped but still getting a noise from near the the passenger seatbelt that isn't the seatbelt holder hitting the side, not sure what this issue is now, very difficult to work out when you are driving!

Removing the seatbelt cover cap, any more detail or steps taken with that one?
