I am having PPF and ceramic coating applied to my car. Do I need to tip them when they are finished? Do you tip when you have your car detailed?

You're paying the price they ask for the work to be done so why would you want to tip?
Ask for discount instead, tell them if they do a good job you'll recommend them on 718 forum

I agree with the above statement. I paid $3000 for PPF, window tints and 5 layer Ceramic Pro. I feel like today everywhere I go people expect a tip for things that years ago I didn’t tip for. Maybe it’s just me.

That's a "loaded" social question. Probably too deep for this forum. Depends on country (e.g., available social benefits) and wages. I tend to tip heavily, even in country's where tipping is not expected. Although I refrain when "tips appreciated" jars are placed in self-serve venues - that's just begging imo.

Padded bill = profit, which keeps many companies in business. I try to tip the actual workers when I can
